Artificial Christmas Trees by Choice
The last post Artificial Christmas Trees Benefits, gave us the benefits of buying artificial Christmas Trees, so now its time to take a closer look at some more reasons for getting one.
There are always choices that you make each year and one of these is which type of Christmas tree to erect in your home. You have been buying a real tree each season, so this time around you may be considering the financial benefits that come with artificial Christmas trees.
Its no secret that people have enjoyed the benefits of artificial Christmas trees all through this past century, but even more so today. The quality is the best its ever been and new standards come with hinged branches as well as built in lights, simple assembly and a breeze to put away after the whole period is over.
The first artificial Christmas trees were manufactured in early 19th century Germany by companies specialising in brushes who found it simple to make artificial Christmas trees using green dyed goose feathers along with animal hair, bristles and using wires for branches off of large sticks or rods.
In the 1950s and 60s, the design improved with models of artificial Christmas trees that were made of metals. Unfortunately, the aluminum coated paper made them a fire hazard. In the year 2000, a flood of artificial Christmas trees geared up for outdoors hit the market. These were equipped with enameled steel wires plus miniature lights.
When considering buying artificial Christmas trees instead of having to find new “real” ones each year certainly has its advantages. Ok, you miss out on the fresh, pine scent but you’ll have a needle-free carpet and house! Less work for the vacuum fairy to do, methinks! Financially of course, as we have pointed out in an earlier article, the purchase only has to be made once and the tree will last for many years to come.
Tastes differ when it comes to the look of an artificial Christmas tree and many people like silver tinsel branches or cleverly illuminated needles. There are just about all styles imaginable of artificial Christmas trees which can match your own home’s décor, whether it be in bright pink or blue or any other colour you like. Some trees come with red, blue, yellow green or white blinking lights. Of course if you prefer the traditional cedar or pine look, then theres plenty artificial Christmas trees that are easily good enough to fool people’s perception by appearing just like the real thing!
Artificial Christmas trees are a real bonus for most families, so why not try one yourself this year? The worst that can happen is if you really don’t like it, then simply go back to buying real ones. If that’s the case, don’t forget that artificial Christmas trees can also make excellent gifts for people who live in apartments or who are on a tight budget and maybe weren’t planning on buying a tree.
Whatever you think of them, one thing’s for sure. Artificial Christmas trees will bring plenty of seasonal joy and goodwill to your family or someone else’s! Which is what Christmas is all about, after all.
